Davidson’s is part deli, part outfitter, part country store—and somehow it all just works. Last time we stopped in, we needed a tarp (we forgot ours), and they had it. My son spotted a hoodie he liked.
They sell eggs from their own chickens, and we’ve even caught burgers coming off the grill (tip: go well done). The deli turns out breakfast sandwiches, hot coffee, cold ice cream and plenty of drinks—perfect before or after a hike.
What I love most is how relaxed it feels with kids around. Some were collecting eggs, others collecting milkweed in the field nearby. It felt less like a store stop and more like a little slice of the Catskills!
